Welcome to the internet home of Blues Quest, a living history of the origins of American music told one musician at a time. We interview contemporary blues-based artists and create an audio documentary of their beginnings, influences and unique contributions to music. Our goal is to preserve this rich musical heritage, raise its awareness and appreciation around the world and keep this music alive for generations to come. We accomplish this in several ways: by having the artists tell their stories in their words, making each show a primary source documentary; by devoting each one-hour episode to a single artist, creating an in-depth musical experience with each musician; by featuring each artist's influences, paying homage to the history of the blues, its origins in African-American culture and impact on modern music; by creating a unique showcase for contemporary blues artists; by exposing listeners to artists and music rarely heard on radio; and by forming partnerships with visionary public radio stations, giving them a unique experience to offer their listeners, making their stations more valuable to their communities. You'll find pictures, stereo (3-D) views, interview segments, station listings, and play lists. Read what people are saying about our show and learn more about Blues Quest. You can go to the Blues Quest Audio Archive and listen to shows any time. And be sure to check out our MySpace page.
